Seline's Music Presents Shardad Rohani, pianist, conductor, composer

SHARDAD ROHANI

Shardad Rohani was educated at the Conservatory of Music
in Vienna, graduating with honors. He has received many awards
and scholarships including the GEMA Scholarship, Vienna 1981,
ASCAP Scholarship, UCLA, Los Angeles, 1983.
The maestro Mehta (of 3 Tenors fame) has said of Shardad:
"One of the most intelligent, versatile and highly musical
young conductors on the American scene today".

The entire Rohani family have the distinction of being regarded
as National Musical Treasures to the Persian people.
Currently Shardad conducts and performs with
symphony orchestras all over the world, making his home in
Los Angeles, where he is conductor of the
Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra and COTA Symphony.

Shardad was the conductor, arranger and orchestrator
for Yanni's World Tour and album/video "Live at the Acropolis".
He showed his extraordinary talents performing the violin duet
with Karen Briggs on this album. He has diplomas also in jazz
and percussion, and enjoys playing some guitar and accordian.

Having composed for many years, the albums below are all
releases since leaving Yanni's World Tours, and demonstrate
his composing and arranging talents and artistry in piano.
